Sidenote

Just to add a little brightness to your day...

Sick = LOTS of movie watching at our house.

It's a tradition rooted in my childhood, when my dad made a special VHS tape of all three of the original Star Wars movies on it, back to back (Episodes IV, V, & VI---I have always been a mega Ewok girl!  And I remember being like 3 years old and hiding from the Sand People behind my dad when we'd watch Episode IV on our old laser disc player, lol...)But that tape required some SEVERE coach devotion.  Therefore, there was never a doubt as to if one of us was really sick when that tape was in the VCR!

So, the other day it was the entire Lord of the Rings Trilogy for me....extended director's cut....appendices as well.

Today, for Miss Mini-Me, it's Letters to Juliet.

So where's the brightness?  Well in my favorite scene.

Ready for it?

Of course it's the balcony scene when Charlie's climbed the trellis, realizing Sophie's no longer engaged to Victor...and says:

"...Listen to me very, very carefully.

I live in London, a gorgeous, vibrant, historic city that I happen to love living in.
You live in New York, which is highly overrated...

But since the Atlantic Ocean is a bit wide to cross every day, swimming, boating, or flying, I suggest we flip for it...

And if those terms are unacceptable, leaving London will be a pleasure, as long as you're waiting for me on the other side.

'Cause the truth is, Sophie, I am madly, deeply, truly, passionately in love with you."

Oh my goodness, makes me giddy every time I hear those words.  Total chills.

So there you have it, instant brightness!

You are welcome.  (:

Oh my! Thats way to much Lord of the Rings for me in a row, I need that in bits and pieces. But, if you were here, I would play nurse Kim and take extra good care of you. And I would even join in the "chick flick!" Now that, I can take in large, Large quantities. Hope you to start feeling better and hopefully next year you can break the cycle and be healthy for Halloween! :0)

Dang! Sorry you guys have been sick. Hope you are on the mend.
Watching movies is a great way to pass the time. When I had my hysterectomy I made a long list and every other day Kurke would go rent me a couple of movies on my list - ha ha. It was great.
I loved Letter's to Juliet - Great movie!
I haven't been sick, just exhausted this week with Kurke out of town. So I think I watched 17 Again about 4x this week - My veg out movie - ha ha. There are so many parts in that movie I love!

I sure hope you guys get well enough to enjoy a bit of Halloween!

I watched Letters to Juliet (right after I found out I was getting a divorce) with a friend who was also getting a divorce. It was a cute movie and wants to make me believe there is real romance and love out there. :)

GET BETTER!!!

That's exactly what it was like at my house when I was sick growing up. There are still movies that I watch today that remind me of laying on the couch sick.

Don't be sick friend! Get better soon!!

And I was so sure I wasn't going to like Letters to Juliet. I don't know why, but I had myself convinced it would be a letdown. And then I watched it, and loved it, and totally swooned over that scene! Such a good movie!

I have never been able to watch Lord of the Rings... Never. ~ And all of my siblings are HUGE LOTR fans. I mean HUGE.

I am all about the chick flicks.

I feel so bad that you have been sick! I wish you lived closer so we could help ya out!

To answer your question about my hands.. yes.. they are bad again.. and THANK TO YOU.. I am going to be tested for food allergies. You really helped me out. It's nice to not feel alone with problematic stuff... and tha there may be hope for me!

Still sick :( Hope you guys are well enough to enjoy halloween... I was looking forward to seeing your photos and hearing all about it. We had 0 trick or treaters... the joys of living in the country. Mum had a few at her place, in the city. The supermarket sold big pumpkins for carving... this is the 1st time I've seen them here... they were $20 each. What do you pay fo your pumpkins?

Watching movies is a geat way to pass the time away. I love chick flicks... I never got into Lord of the rings.

I start my new job tomorrow. I'm going to be working at a private hospital, in a new theatre unit. It will be good to be the foundation staff. I've got training all next week. Learning the computers and equipment... at least we're all learning together.

I promised the kids pancakes, so I'd better go and feed them.
Hope you feel better soon.

1. Sickness needs to be done. Don't make me come up there and drop kick it in it's arse to make it leave.
2. I HATE Lord of the Rings - that isn't going to be a deal breaker for us is it?
3. I will make it up to you by sitting through Letters to Juliet, and Ill try to like it

oxoxox

Sick is no fun, even if you do get to watch your favorite movies! I love movies that you csn quote. That is one great scene that you described.
Get better. Hope you had fun trick-or-treating tonight.
