Please, if you have not had a Lower Lights: A Hymn Revival experience of your own, you have not lived. Therefore, when these talented musicians make it to a venue near you....don't hesitate, don't just think about it, don't walk...instead RUN to buy your tickets, and be there early enough to grab prime-real-estate-seats!
Felt like being gathered with the most favorite family members around a cozy fire; just like how life should feel.
Greatest moments? The sweet little girl in her tutu across the aisle, twirling and dancing throughout the set was something to cherish. Also, I noticed Mini-Me was singing right along to the most phenomenal hymns that are ages & ages older than she is....to the point I was impressed that she even KNEW the songs, let alone every. single. word.
What a scrumptious blend of beautiful hymns framed by mandolin, banjo, bass, piano, drums, guitar, tambourine, and angelic voices. It spoke to me. To every fiber, clear to my DNA.
These artists, their voices, their depth, the hymn selection, their passion + being seated amongst so many like-minded audience members who are clapping along? Yeah. Heaven.
Melted my mushy heart.
