Auld Lang Syne

Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind ?
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and old times since ?

For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

And surely you’ll buy your pint cup !
And surely I’ll buy mine !
And we'll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

We two have run about the slopes,
and picked the daisies fine ;
But we’ve wandered many a weary foot,
since auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

We two have paddled in the stream,
from morning sun till dine ;
But seas between us broad have roared
since auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

And there’s a hand my trusty friend !
And give us a hand o’ thine !
And we’ll take a right good-will draught,
for auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

The song, "Auld Lang Syne," is sung at the stroke of midnight in almost every English-speaking country in the world to bring in the new year. An old Scotish tune, "Auld Lang Syne" literally means "old long ago," or simply, "the good old days."

Ok, so it is essentially considered by many to be an old drinking song...however, in regards to AULD LANG SYNE or "the good old days" what about that good old day long ago (or even recently) when you knew what you know? When you were truly converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ? I found a new blog that's extremely exciting. They are asking for your conversion stories. There's something empowering in this struggle against the adversary when conversion stories are shared. So, don't just sit there, visit this site and leave your mark on spiritual history!

Stingey-ness never was happiness. Add what you can to strengthen those around you by sharing either:
1) Your Personal Conversion Story. 2) Your Testimony of the Savior and/or experiences with the power of the Atonement and the peace that it brings.

As 2009 is upon our threshold of life, may our thoughts & reflections be upon our landmark experiences with the Savior, as well as our focus be upon how we can grow closer to Him by standing tall as a witness of Him in the days to come!
