All I really needed to get better today was apparently a cozy blanket, my couch, a roaring fire, and.... Xanadu on NetFlix.

Why not right?

I mean Gene Kelly the hoofer extraordinaire + Olivia Newton John's angelic voice + comfort of familiar songs from my childhood + the early animation genius of Don Bluth + stellar early career choreography of Kenny Ortega + me medicated...

How is that NOT a great plan for recovery from this nasty flu?

Sometimes taking a break means taking a sentimental, musical, unconventional, neon-lit, 80's gold lame & contoured cheekbones kinda break.

And that's okay.
